This invaluable assistance alleviates the burdens borne by those unaccustomed to the arduous Nigerian norms.

Invaluable information flows like a stream during the evening fellowships. From the moment you set foot in the camp until the culmination of your service, NCCF serves as an oracle, imparting essential insights to help you navigate the labyrinthine bureaucracy of NYSC, thus rendering your service year less of an ordeal.

My journey saw me assume roles as the Drama Director (DD) and the Zonal Coordinator (Papa) of Yagba East Zone in Kogi State. This experience proved profoundly enriching, extending to the construction of our zonal Jesus corpers lodge, honing my skills in construction and fundraising. State and zonal conferences, along with the monthly GENCO gatherings, collectively equipped me for life’s future challenges.

The familial atmosphere within the family house is nothing short of enchanting. Here, addressing your “Papa” as your father, regardless of his age, is the norm. It’s an environment that instills humility and respect for authority, a preparatory ground for the familial roles awaiting you in the future. As a “Mama,” you learn the art of culinary prowess, caring for many, and embracing the essence of submission to your husband’s authority. As an “Uncle,” you master the art of discipline, record-keeping, and the fine art of interpersonal relations.
A Deepened Appreciation for Divinity
NCCF’s core vision, “rural rugged,” grants you an unfiltered glimpse into the lives of those less fortunate. It’s a profound joy to minister to these souls with the Word of God, fulfilling the supreme Christian commandment. We share welfare materials, tend to their medical needs, and address their spiritual yearnings. Witnessing the sheer elation radiating from the villagers during those fleeting days leaves an indelible mark on your heart.
